Masala dosa a success at Hollywood Farmer’s market

From end of May to end of October 2010, I was serving up freshly made, crisp dosas with a spicy potato filling and coconut chutney.  Many of the market-goers were familiar with dosa and there were many who tried it for the first time and found the masala dosa to be delicious.  For those looking for a gluten-free option the dosa was a perfect meal.  Rice and lentil crepe with a spicy potato stuffing flavored with turmeric, ginger, mustard seeds and curry leaf, accompanied with a chutney made with fresh coconut, curry leaves, ginger and black mustard seeds – all made from scratch with no preservatives.
